The Importance of Never Relying on Others

Today I wanted to write a post on never relying on others. The problem is that it’s extremely difficult to make your business function at a high rate of efficiency by yourself, but at the same time if you rely on others you’ll find that usually your trust or reliance is misplaced.

People in general are set up to let you down, financially and in business more so than any other situation in life. Your success relying on others will undoubtedly be causing you serious damage in the long run. I’ve had countless experiences where people beg me to sell their beats for them, and I do, and the first sale comes around for an exclusive and they can’t deliver track-outs or the files are corrupted or some other problem.

This is very important to understand because it will save you a lot of headache. For me I’ve had about twenty or thirty producers on my team over the course of the last five years and I can tell you that only two or three of them do I actually trust at this point to deliver the sales as well as be great assets to my team.

This is an extraordinary difference from nearly thirty producers. That’s like only being able to trust roughly 10% of the people I’ve had experiences with. People will end up losing files and not telling me, for instance, and when the sale happens they can’t deliver.

Others have gone as far as accepting payment and yet not sending files to the customers, and I’ve had to refund the customer both of our portions out of my own pocket. That same situation happened not but a few weeks ago. His beats were immediately removed from our store.

This is why I can’t stress it enough, if you’re looking to earn an income from your music you have to be willing to accept the fact that most people are not going to be reliable. This doesn’t mean you can’t work with these people, but it does mean that you should probably ask for the track-out files ahead of time so you actually have them. That way you can deliver the purchases yourself.

That’s just one way around this sticky situation, but in general even the best preparation can sometimes not be enough. There are certain situations that you will need to rely on the producer or person on your team and if they are unreliable you’re going to face immediate troubles.

Marketing yourself and doing things your own way is one very powerful method of taking out reliance of others.

Becoming a Powerhouse Marketer

If selling beats or making money online from any product is something you’re interested in then time is of the essence. In business, much so as in life, time is always against you. You have the job of ten men and you are by yourself to get it done.

So how do you find success in this market, which has so much competition? The answer is actually quite simple.

You must become a powerhouse marketer if you intend to achieve success in this market or any other. What I mean by this is you have to be willing not only to work, but to work at the highest level of efficiency possibly achieve-able.

Just today I cut down my work by a full 4-6 hours simply by thinking smart and coming up with a creative solution to my problem. In this case, it was needing to build up a similar members area full of courses I had already made. I did this to open up the opportunity to make more money in the internet marketing niche.

“The less you do the more you make.”

I find this to be very true because if you find ways to take short cuts and still get the same great result, which includes hiring others to get work done while you work to achieve separate tasks, then the time you put in will go a lot farther. I’d say anywhere from five to ten times the work load can be achieved simply by working smart.

A lot of times I will actually take twenty to thirty minutes to brain storm and do a little research before starting a massive task that I know will take me hours upon hours to complete. A lot of times, simply thinking about it for a few minutes can be enough to open up new ideas on how to achieve your goals quickly.

However, when I say you need to work at the highest level of efficiency, I’m not just talking about whether or not you work smart. Working smart is a very good way to increase the amount of success in your business. But it is not the only thing you need to do.

There are a few other things to consider. First of all, you need to work without distractions! I cannot press this enough. A lot of people go to work (whether in their business or at their job), with a laid back “do as little as possible” attitude. They do just enough to skate by, but in the mean time they’re on their phone texting, fiddling with apps or similar.

I swear when I work, I turn my phone on vibrate and I still keep it around just in case my wife calls me for something. But other than that, I turn down all calls (yes, even clients who call me). I let them know to text me or email me, as I will get back to them when I can.

My excuse for this is simple.

I say “I’m working all day, sorry. Please text or email.”

This doesn’t come off as rude or wrong in their eyes. I don’t lose any sales over it at all (I’ve never lost a sale, and if I did it would be from a non serious buyer who is BS’ing anyway).

The fact is you have to take your job as seriously as you would if you worked at a high paying job. You wouldn’t be texting on your cell phone when you’re getting paid $100 an hour, would you? Of course not. Because you wouldn’t want to lose your job, which of course pays you well.

But why do you think certain jobs pay higher than others?

It comes to: how much money can they earn off of you? If the answer is, “not much”, then you’re not going to be paid much either. If you are going to help their company make large amounts of money, your payment will undoubtedly be larger. Some jobs even give commission opportunities if they think they can make enough money off of you.

So if you’re checking your email, texting, or doing ANY other task that does not help your business achieve a higher level of success then it is now, then you’re not working at the highest level of efficiency.

Furthermore, you need to totally focus and work as fast as possible. Don’t doddle or go to other websites or get off task. Figure out what your task is, take a few minutes to think it over and figure out ways to achieve the task the fastest possible way, and then work WITHOUT distractions, as fast as you can, to achieve that goal.

Today I did a 4-6 hour job (I know because I’ve done it plenty of times before), that would’ve included a lot of headaches and editing, and I turned it into a 30 minute job that I was able to complete very quickly and with the highest level of accuracy.

So thinking it over, eliminating distractions, and working non-stop are some really great ways to turn into a powerhouse internet marketer.

Having said that, even with working at the highest level of efficiency, without distractions and as fast as possible without diddling around on the internet uselessly, then there is ONE more major thing you need to include in your working habits to have an organically growing business like the one I have.

You ready for this? So, what’s the last big secret on how to make all of the puzzle pieces fit together?

Easy. You have to PUT IN MANY HOURS!

The more the better! Working at the highest level of efficiency for 8 hours a day can achieve more than you can probably even imagine. In three to four hours of working at this level of efficiency, you can expect to get done what would otherwise take three to four days to complete. So obviously working at eight hours a day can bring you to your goals even faster.

5 Tips to Making Beats that Sell

A lot of people want to know how to sell beats but just like any other product if you don’t make the top quality stuff, you won’t get paid like you do. This is just a fact and there is no other way to explain it better. You need to get your beats up to a higher pay grade if you expect to make more money from your beats online because there is no better way to do this than to make beats that sell right off the bat.

This article will give you five tips to making better beats and succeeding in your market. If making money off of your beats is something you want to do then the only option for you is to first improve the quality of your sound.

There’s a certain style that rappers just love to buy, and when I say “style” you’re probably thinking that I’m talking about a certain genre of music, such as hip hop, rap or whatever. But the fact is any type of beat can sell as long as it’s something that a rap artist or a pop artist would actually put vocals on.

Which brings me to the #1 most important possible thing you need to do in order to make the best beats possible.

1. The Beat Needs to be Artist Appropriate

Now this is something that I had some serious trouble with when I first started making beats. I had something called nibble-itus, which is a real disease look it up (you can find this information absolutely no where, it’s actually a word I made up, don’t look it up).

Nibble-itus is a disease in which you get lots of people saying “good music!”, people sharing appreciation for what you do and your mom likes it, your friends like it, etc… And yet you NEVER make sales. Even the people saying your beats are super dope don’t want to spend a buck on them. Why do you think this is?

It’s because you got nibble-itus!

Nibble-itus can occur for a variety of reasons, but the beat not being artist appropriate is a sure shot to getting it. That could mean getting nothing but nibbles and having beats that sell slowly or not at all. Here’s what I mean by this…

If the beat is not something a rap or pop artist would get on, then it is going to fail no matter what. You can have beats that sound GOOD, but are basically techno or film score or something like that. If you cannot listen to your beat and say “yeah, this is definitely a rap beat” or “a singer could sing on this beautifully”, then it is going to fail out the gate.

Making a beat artist appropriate means actually making something that would work SPECIFICALLY for a song that has lyrics on it. This is NOT actually wide spread knowledge. Anything you make in Reason, Logic or Fruity Loops isn’t necessary a beat that will sell.

2. Not All Beats are Going to Sell… But Learning is Important

This is one of the most powerful tricks for increasing your beat sales online. You need to make better beats and in order to do that you need to pay attention to your catalog. Many people actually just guess that they know which beats are their highest sellers or the ones that go the quickest. But the fact is you don’t know which beats are your top sellers unless you actually compare the numbers.

Looking at the beats which sell quickly is going to be one of the best possible ways to succeed in this market. You will notice that even the song title can make a difference in sales. Why? Because appropriately titling your beat can mean dragging the right eyes to it.

Nobody goes looking for beats completely blank about what they want. They always go with a certain emotion in mind. So they will look for a beat that, for instance, is sad or happy. So they’ll look for names that remind them of what they want.

However in the same breathe, once the beat starts playing that’s going to be the make or break part of the deal. So keep a close eye on which beats sell and how well they do. You might notice some differences in the beats that don’t ever seem to sell compared to the ones that do because I know I have! There has been no better learning tool!

3. Don’t Fight Against the Grain

Listen to your audience. Stop complaining about wanting to be a certain way creatively when it comes specifically to selling beats online. Keep the original ones you love to yourself and keep them for your projects even. There are so many opportunities for making money from music, don’t limit yourself to one opportunity for making money with beats.

But if you want to make beats that sell online then you need to stop fighting against the grain. Make what people want to BUY. If you are unsure of what kinds of beats are going to sell quickly then turn on Pandora or your favorite radio station, as long as it plays mainstream pop and rap music you will find plenty of ideas on what sells.

The basics in terms of selling are that certain genres and types sell easier than others. In my own experience the beats that really fly off the shelves are sad beats, pop beats, summer beats, hip hop beats, beats with samples and trap or street beats.

4. Don’t skimp on the little things

A lot of people want to try to skimp when it comes to the most important things… Attention to detail for ANY producer is always going to be what separates your beats and makes them the beats which will sell easier.

If you aren’t paying attention to every single break and every single bar and looking for things, asking yourself “is this boring or entertaining?” then you’re already failing.

Attention to detail is what separates you from others and it is surely the thing which will make your beats sell faster. Spending an extra 20% of time to make the beats as perfect as possible is one of your best possible bets for increasing overall interest and sales.

5. Make beats and stop messing around!

I heard that the samurai believed if you practice anything for five hours a day that you will master it. I believe this to be quite true and if you want to be a lethal force on the battle field of beat selling you need to get your quality way higher than it probably is right now.

There are a very select few who actually produce beats that sell, and if you want to count yourself among them then you’re going to have to up your game. A lot. This means going to the trouble of actually making sure you are making beats every single day to increase your skill. Break out of your comfort one and go right for the mainstream style beats.

If you are:
A.) Playing video games for more than an hour a day
B.) Watching TV or doing other unproductive things
C.) Not spending at least 5 hours a day on your business

Then you will likely fail.

Today I wanted to write about the top features your website needs to have if you expect to make a living from any business model. Selling beats isn’t as easy as some of us would like it to be, in fact it’s definitely one of the harder markets out there when it comes to making money online.

So how do you make sure your beats remain selling no matter what? Well there’s no simple answer to this question because so many factors come into play. However there are some ways to make your website convert a lot higher so let’s go over those.

First of all you have to ask yourself if your website really seems like it’s going to make you sales? A lot of people think a REALLY BIG SLIDER at the top of their website is going to make them money, for instance (I can’t even tell you how common it is to find these enormous sliders).

But in truth that is going to lower conversions into sales. The reason it lowers your conversion rate is simply because it has absolutely nothing to do with selling. People come to your website and see this massive slider and it doesn’t do a thing for them when it comes to making them want to pull out their credit card and spend.

For any sales page you want to bring the focus in on your actual beats. You need to make the main focus of your website what you’re selling so that you can bring in more sales. This means having your store on the front page as well as other factors. You need to have the right bulk deals in place, you need to be on the right websites and have the right system in place for making sales.

So what does your website need to have in place?

1. A beat store with automatic delivery.

Having automatic delivery and a store is extremely important. If your website has no way to pay you then obviously you’re not going to make any automated money. This is a strategy I’ve talked about many times in Automation Mindset, one of my favorite eBooks which I’ve written.

The idea of an automatic beat store is that you don’t have to deal with deliveries anymore. All you have to worry about is sending traffic to your page. That, and all the other things you have to worry about, that is!

2. Email opt-in forms and the like.

No matter where you are in your beat selling business, you definitely want to have the right email opt-in forms in place. If you don’t already have an email marketing service in place, I would suggest Aweber Email Marketing because it is by far the best options for beginners.

With a lot of the email marketing service providers you have to custom code the forms to make them look good (not for newbies or the faint of heart). So with the service linked in the paragraph above, you’ll find that making a form is as easy as it can get.

Without gathering email opt-ins for your business, it is safe to assume you are losing out on money. The fact is that no matter how you promote your website you need to collect the leads you’re sending to your site or else you are basically wasting money on promotion that could be savored.

3. Share to unlock features.

Having a share to unlock feature can be similarly powerful as a good share locker will allow you to “force” people to like you on Facebook, follow you on Twitter or otherwise share your content to make it go viral. This is the same concept as having email opt-in forms on your website because it allows you to gather the leads you send to your website onto your social media lists.

4. Make it a community based website.

This is something I am personally working on every day, trying to make it possible for others to get involved and find success with a monthly service. The reason a monthly service is so powerful, even if you do not charge monthly, is because getting the community involved is the easiest way to increase your sales.

5. Customer support matters… A lot.

How easy is it for your customers to come to your website, check out your products and get in touch with you? If the answer is “not easy” then this is a big mistake. Customer service can literally make or break your business. You need to have the right support in place and when people do contact you, you need to be the one to talk them into buying more stuff than they came for!

You do this by simply creating great deals right there on the spot. Try to figure out what the customer’s goals are. You won’t be able to convince everybody to spend more (or to spend anything at all for that matter), but you need to use your customer support line as a sales line as well. You should use your skills to talk people into purchasing more products by offering them certain bulk deals for cheaper.

How to Quit Your Job to Sell Beats

This is something that more people ask me than you would believe. The question usually comes from producers who have not yet gotten their foot in the door and are wondering how to jump from making a few bucks per month online to making tens of thousands.

The biggest issue I have with this concept is that the majority of the people who come to me with this aspiration to make thousands upon thousands of dollars every month are missing out a few big points in their business plan. For instance when I ask how much money they have to spend on their business, the answer in these cases is almost always “$0.00”.

If this is your response when I ask you what your budget is, it automatically shows that you are not interested in investing in your business. Or, if you are, you simply can’t do so which is going to hold you back more than any other factor.

This famous quote from Thomas Edison, inventor of the light bulb, should clear things up:

Now obviously Thomas Edison was someone who invented an item of very low production cost. To be able to fail ten thousand times, though, even for a small trinket would have cost an enormous amount of money. In today’s day and age, I’m guessing it would be equivalent to about $1 per lightbulb in terms of getting the right materials together.

That means that Thomas Edison would have had to spend $10,000, and if you look at his life you will see that he only got paid for 1 out of those 10,000. So you could look at it like $9,999 roughly in expenses that didn’t even profit. But that’s all stuff we don’t like talking about, right? We just want to look at the end result, which is that he invented the light bulb, one of the most powerful inventions of the last two hundred years, which simply gives us light inside using electricity.

This is what may prove faulty for many producers, and not just for the money. The budget doesn’t mean anything UNLESS you are not willing to obtain budget.

To explain it simply…

The less you do, the more you make. If you have a budget of $10,000, you’re going to easily go further than the man with a budget of $1,000. Aside from that, the man with $1,000 will easily go further (speaking of nothing more than the laws of probability) than a man with $100.

But if you have $0 to your name, guess what? That’s not going to work. No matter what you have to invest. So to make $5,000/mo off of $0 budget is actually pretty much impossible. Everything costs money, at least here in America it sure does.

So if you don’t have a budget, does that just mean you’re doomed to never sell beats?

No, you’re not doomed. Don’t take what I’m saying here the wrong way, just understand that jumping from $0 to $5,000/mo overnight is not going to happen without signing your soul away on a contract with a record label or something not preferable like that.

But if YOU want to make your own business come up and be your own boss, you’re going to need to get used to not only spending money on your business, but actually wasting money on your business. Yeah, I said it. Not all of your investments will turn a profit, and it would be wise of you to understand this fact. As a business owner I’ve lost as much as $2500 by putting my money in the wrong places.

If you have no money and that’s simply how it is, then you need to use free forms of promotion to get your first sales and invest those back into your business. I remember being 16 years old and living with my parents, using a free account on Soundclick, forum marketing and simply using Twitter.

How much did I make per month? Honestly some months I made $500, but most common was $15-$300 per month. This is not enough to move out of your parents house or even allow you to run your business fully.

What I did in my scenario was I actually saved up $1,000 by selling 5 exclusives for $200, a sale I held for only one month. By holding this sale I was able to gather the $1,000 in a fairly short amount of time, and instead of wasting it on booze, clothes and shoes, I ended up spending every single cent into my business plan, which took me three months to come up with on notebook paper.

It’s not uncommon and it’s something to definitely get used to if you plan on being a business owner. You should count yourself lucky that you’re trying to run an online business, which has notoriously low costs. If you were trying to run a store on the corner of 4th avenue downtown, for instance, you can expect $4,000+ per month in renting fees just to have a building.

Then there’s hiring employees, making sure your store has merchandise and more. This can easily end up running thousands more per month.

The online market place is the easiest business arena in the world

When it comes to online marketing, it’s as good as it gets. If you plan on spending $1000 up front or more, you can expect to make yourself successful a lot faster than the guy who is only willing to spend $10. Like, seriously! How can your budget for your business be less than a meal for two at Subway?

Aside from spending money, the most important thing in business is…?

Take a wild guess. Don’t want to? Okay I’ll go ahead and give it away then… The #1 most important thing for your business, even above the idea of spending enough money to keep yourself going? Simple… HARD. WORK. #HARDWORK!!!! If you are not willing to work as hard as humanly possible towards your goals, and willing to work your ass off to get the first few dollars necessary to invest and quite literally push your business in the right direction, then you’re going to fail regardless!

Point blank. Your chances of making your business work are 0% if you’re not willing to work just as many hours if not more than you would at a 40-hour per week full time job.

Selling Exclusive Beats on a Shoe String Budget


Have you ever been sitting on a tiny little budget, or maybe no budget at all, and simply couldn’t get any beat sales for yourself? I bet you’ve told yourself a hundred times, “if only I could make a couple exclusive sales, I could invest that money into promotion and go far”. Well, believe it or not, this is a common problem among most producers.

There is some sort of conspiracy online stating that the majority of top sellers on Soundclick make most of their money from leases. Let me squash the rumors right now: every single person on Soundclick relies on those exclusive sales to pay their bills, no matter who they are. This is simply a fact that you must understand if you plan on making money on Soundclick or anywhere else.

The fact is, selling exclusive beats on a shoe string budget might end up being a little harder than perhaps you would like it to be. No matter who you are, if you have no budget then it’s extremely difficult to get the right audiences. So how can you make a few exclusive sales right now to bring up your promotional budget?

Well it may actually be easier than you thought. However it is like fishing in a much smaller pond, so some patience is going to be required since you’re working on a zero dollar budget basically.

Luckily for you there are several things you can start doing right now to bring in your first couple of exclusive sales. Before we get started sending traffic to your website though, you will need to understand your pricing model.

Are your beats priced to sell or priced to collect digital dust forever?

This is a question that actually should mean more to you than it probably does. The majority of beat sellers don’t worry about pricing they simply price it to what they think is competitive pricing. However if you look at the best producers on the net, they’re normally selling exclusive rights for as low as $300 in most cases.

So the real question is, ARE you of high enough quality to require you to sell your beats for the same price or are you going to have to sell them for lower?

The idea of competitive pricing is actually all about pricing your beats to sell among the competition. So if the competition is selling exclusive rights for $300 and they are better than you by a large margin, then you should absolutely sell your exclusive beats for less than that.

This is just an example. The reality is that the majority of rappers actually don’t have much more than $100 or $200 to spend on exclusive rights. This isn’t a preferred situation but unless you’re willing to turn down a lot of potential buyers due to price restraints, then this is the reality.

Rappers, unlike producers, have no way to earn income from their music in almost all cases. Rappers like to say things like “We’re going to make it,” and that they have connections or whatever else they like to say. It’s basically all total lies and the fact is 99% of rappers are going to be exactly where they are now, five years from now. This is just a reality that perhaps is easier to accept for a producer, since we can make money from our beats in several different ways, but a rapper can’t make any money.

Aside from that, the only real money there is for rappers is what? Can you guess? Placements, TV shows, commercials. Getting your music placed in these market places can earn big bucks. Take a guess what the problem with that is?

Easy. The problem is that you can’t even get placements without a non-sampled, exclusively owned beat. So this is kind of the paradox that rappers find themselves in. They don’t have any money or any means of making good money from their music, yet they need beats they can’t afford to do this.

This is why racking up and selling exclusive beats easily is really a matter of lowering your standards and lowering your pricing. If you are selling your beats for more than $200 each, you better be on Soundclick and other websites as well as have a budget for promotion.

So what if you have $0 and want to start selling exclusive beats more often?

The best way to do this is by utilizing social networks, four in particular. Simply utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, YouTube and Soundclick you can make your first exclusive sales for sure. That is, if your beats are priced right. And I mean priced for YOU! Some people might be worth that $200 or $300, I’ve sold beats upwards of $1,000 or $1,500 each. However some of you might have to sell beats at $50 exclusives, because your quality may not be up to par yet.

I’m not going to go into extraordinary detail over each of these websites, however I would suggest buying our course Nuclear Traffic Meltdown, Automation Mindset, The Beat Down Course and Power.

What I will say is if you want to sell exclusive beats easily on these websites, the best way is simply to create an audience of followers which are targeted to the rap game. This is done on Soundcloud by simply following targeted people from groups on a daily basis at a good rate as to not get into trouble.

Soundclick if starting out and having no budget you should probably use it as your main website. The reason is because since you don’t have any resources, every little bit of help is going to provide you with more success. On Soundclick every lead you send to your page will slightly boost you in the charts. The charts on Soundclick themselves are going to bring you sales, and so it’s good to start with promoting that as your main (for now).

Of course, having said that, you don’t want to die on Soundclick either, so once you get your business off the ground you’re going to want to explore other options.

Soundcloud is a great place to make your first sale, and Soundclick forums can help tremendously as well. But there’s still nothing quite like powering up on the other social networks as well. Using Facebook and Twitter to grow your social following is smart.

When I was first starting, I used (and still use) a Twitter marketing bot to automatically follow and unfollow the right targeted users. Usually people posting up keywords such as “Soundclick”, “Reverb Nation” or other keywords. This enables you to get in touch with more people, and if your beats are priced on the lower side of things then you’re going to be able to see sales just from Twitter marketing alone.

Today I wanted to write a blog post about something that I think all of us can easily relate to (or at least all of us who are making money online selling beats). The fact is, Soundclick is an old, desolate place. The entire site is based on flash, which is old technology that doesn’t work on mobile phones. They also have a mobile version of the site with very little capabilities for those of us who use smart phones.

But you know what is really crazy about Soundclick? It’s the crypt for many business owners. Almost every guy you see in the top sellers on MyFlashStore and other websites such as that these days are doing this by selling beats on Soundclick.

The only problem with this is, I can name a handful of people who would completely be out of sales and be done with their entire business come tomorrow if Soundclick got shut down. The reason this is something you should actually worry about is that the website not only is based on technology that’s so old it’s ridiculous at this point, but it’s promo slots aren’t even selling as much anymore.

The honest to God truth is, nobody wants to use Soundclick because it’s so old. Yet on the other hand, every top seller is on Soundclick right now and using highly expensive advertisements to push themselves into the charts.

So my point comes down to a simple question:

Are you going to die on Soundclick?

If Soundclick one day visits your page and finds a sampled beat that they’re not OK with, that’s sometimes all it takes to get suspended from their site for life right off the bat. Not to mention they will suspend you for whatever other reasons they can think of and most of the time it’s not really something justified.

The biggest names on Soundclick who used to dominate the charts every day can’t even be found in the charts anymore. Take a wild guess why this is? I would say it’s because… They died on Soundclick.

You know I can’t even express how many stories there are of people who go from making good sales every single month to dying on Soundclick because they got suspended, they can no longer keep up with the website due to personal reasons, they can’t pay the super high expenses in order to rank, etc.

If you look at the top 25 at any given time, you’re going to see nothing but newbies. People who have been around and ranking on the website for maybe a year or two, but all the old names are gone.

This is actually part of a mass extinction of Soundclick. At one point in time I released highly valuable secrets on how to rank on this website, and there were hundreds of producers at that time (roughly four years ago) who used the secrets I taught them on how to rank in order to go big or go home.

Out of all of the people who used to rank four years ago using the tactics I taught in an eBook which is no longer available for sale, literally none of them are actually ranking today. All of them spent big on Soundclick, even with the cheaper, easier inexpensive methods I taught them, and they couldn’t keep up with the costs.

The only way to get out of the Soundclick circle is to create a business model which enables you to live off of your beats without being on that website. Now, this is not something many of us are going to want to admit because Soundclick makes us money so why should we care?

Well the smartest people I know are actually moving off of Soundclick completely. I know guys who are even successful on that site but you’ll see them only focusing on their main website. This is because Soundclick will consume you like a wildfire if you let it.

Which brings me to my next point…

Over 80% of businesses fail in the first 5 years.

So it’s no wonder why ranking these days is so much less common and there are simply less people doing it. It’s because you’re not going to survive in a business that is supposed to last 5+ years if you are using any third party site for the majority of your sales.

You need promotional strategies on Soundcloud, Twitter, Facebook and other websites if you expect to survive. Many people pay big for Soundclick and don’t even end up getting anywhere with their music. Many of them I assume have been suspended, lots of big names I can personally verify have been banned from Soundclick forever. But the real question still stands…
